Happy Valentine's Day

Event that I believe one should spread love daily (not only on special occasion), but there is no violation against that idea if I greet you all with this lovely Valentine's Day card I've found from this Call Center Gal blog.

Some "facts" that I've heard about this day, are:

• Feb 14th was the day, a bishop beheaded because of his act of love towards young couples in Rome (270AD)
  
• Pope Galasius declared the first official St Valentine’s Day on February 14 in the memory of martyred priest of the third century in Rome (496AD)
  
• Some even mentioned a pre-historic (closer to mythological history, I may say) relevance to the marriage of Zeus and Hera in the festival of the god of fertility.
• But some just say, it's the time when pigeons mate. So yeah, lots of love is in the air.
  

Anyway, it's all true, only in different version, I say. So, Happy Loving Day, Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

Facebook Re-tweet Feature?

I prefer twitter, rather than facebook. Sorry to say, but I think, Facebook is good at copying other social networking features to enrich itself. And now, it's Twitter re-tweet feature that Facebook going to catch-up.

Up until now there has been no way to share other people's status updates with the rest of your friends, but Facebook has decided to change this by adding some new functionality which will sit next to the Comment and Like buttons at the bottom of a post.

Interestingly, the Twitter retweet was originally started by users of the site who felt that a particular tweet needed spreading to the masses.

Now that Twitter has actually made the option official, it does seem that a lot of people are shunning this method for the plain old RT.
